The potential side effects will be listed on the patient information sheet that accompanied your medication. If you do not have a copy you should find one by searching tinterweb. Be aware that we are all different and some people will experience some side effects and others different ones and some not at all.
I was put on this after I had ' that which cannot be mentioned.' I was suddenly having angina attacks during the day and not just at rest. I am already on 60mg isosorbide mononitrate. I have no additional side affects except occasional light headedness.
I don't have personal experience but both my mother, who I took care of, and a close friend took it, and both found it suited them well, was effective and no side effects. Both of them had experienced problems tolerating some medications in the past.Everyone is different, so all you can really do is give it a try. I'm always apprehensive at taking meds new to me as there's a lot I can't tolerate but the only way to know is try. Good luck.
I am on 30mgs of Nicorandil twice a day.I have found over the years that my gums have been affected.
I see a Dental Hygienist every six months to help keep my gums as healthy as possible.
I was on Nicorandil for a while but had to discontinue it as I had mouth ulcers continuously. It is one of the side effects. (I have had mouth ulcers all my life but nowhere near as badly as this.) It may not affect you like this and you won't know until you try it. I hope it works for you. ❤️
