firstly thanks to everyone for their help and advice on previous posts!
Just a quick update my Myoview has shown that the front area of my heart is still not getting enough blood / oxygen and therefore I have to undergo another angioplasty and likley more stents!
Somewhat mixed emotions , frustration at not being dealt with first time in yet some validation that there are reasons why I have still been getting pain / feeling tired and rubbish on and off since my stent in April!
I had a feeling something wasn’t right deep down and despite being told it was all anxiety following all had been through or that it is all in my head at least now I know I wasn’t going crazy ! - and that the 4 trips back to a&e to be fobbed off just shows to keep going and fight your corner ! Trust your body and what it’s telling you !
not looking forward to the extensive bruising again but hopefully will come out the other side finally feeling better !

Good job you kept going back and as you say we know our bodies best. But shouldn't have to keep going back. Hope everything goes well with your procedure and your feeling better soon. Brian
Well done for going back and not being robbed off. Unfortunately there probably are a number of cases where it is anxiety, but some medics attribute that to everyone. I hope your treatment goes well and you are not quite so bruised this time.
i hope the angio goes well. I didn't have a very ‘straight run’ either!
In the end I had a total of 9 stents done in a few angios. with different procedures, all within about 18 months.
I am now (12+years later), doing really well. So try and be patient! Though, like you, it did, at times, feel slow and a bit trial and error, and that I wasn't always believed, in the end I benefitted, and I am sure you will, too.
I hear this so often from friends. I was sent to A+E by my GP last year.I always write and ask for copies of tests and notes after a hospital visit you can't imagine my surprise that I had been recorded in my A+E notes as DNW which means did not wait to be seen!! Yes I sat there for 9 hours had a brain scan blood tests and ECG, then decided to walk out!
Obviously I didn't I saw a doctor had all the tests and he said I could go and I would get outpatient appointments which I did.
I complained to the hospital PALS service to have my notes corrected and a sister from A+E rang me to ask how did I discover the incorrect coding on my notes. I told her firstly I check every detail and I worked for the NHS for 37 years. It was duly corrected.
Interesting also whilst in A+E I had an ECG and the technician who did it said the doctor needed to see it as it was indicating a problem. Doctor said nothing and 9 months later got my LVH diagnosis from a Cardiologist.
Stick to your guns, let your voice be heard, don't be fobbed off with its all in your head scenario. Nobody knows their body better than you.
thank you ! I noticed on my scan that one of my other arteries looked worse than the one stented ! I asked the question and they said it was only moderate !! That’s the one now they want to go back and check !!
Hope it goes well for you. There's been absolutely no talk of me having anything done just medication, maybe they think I'm 1) too old at 65 or 2) no longer contributing to society!
