Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is good. I am on Nebivolol for BP and heart rate. My BP is low anyway, and I feel dizzy after Nebivolol, so not sure why I am on this med apart from my heart rate to keep it stable. I am due to speak with my GP but wondered if anyone had low blood pressure but was still on meds for heart rate, is there a separate medication I can take. Appreciate I need to speak to my GP but wondered about others experiences, thanks as ever, Judi

Low Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Meds
I had triple bypass last week and prescribed beta blockers. I specifically asked my surgeon as to why. He said that my heart on suddenly getting 3 clear arteries would think its party time. The beta blocker is to control the heart rate.
Thanks so much for your reply. I love your explanation of party time!!! Take care and thank you , Judi
Hello
I have no answers for you as you know I am all over with medications to but I do love what ChoochSiesta said that their Consultant said the heart would think it was party time
Made me chuckle which I have not done in a while and the best explanation I have come across why we need to take them x
Me too, it’s so good to have a chuckle, we all need those! X
Brilliant explanation! Hope you're recovering well, Chooch xx
hi, I have very low blood pressure and still have to take the meds for heart rate I'm on bisporol, I had my HA 5 months ago and up until 2 weeks ago I had to go to get pressure checked and bloods taken make sure my kidneys are coping with all these new meds, they were checking every 2 weeks and although my blood pressure is still low it has stabilised, unfortunately these wonderful pills wich keep us alive come with some side effects 😪 on a positive note, we are survivors we get another chance to be part of this wonderful life ❤️ xxx
Party time ,you wish I bet lol.My gp calls my heart arrhythmia as my heart getting excited. They must be related.😅
Hi...likewise when I was on beta blocker Propanalol and Lixiana bpm dropped into the 50's and BP down to 100/60.. prescribed to relieve irregular beats which have since disappeared so off betas and bpm back in the 60's and BP up to normal levels.
