back again! Had a nuclear stress test - chemically induced as opposed to treadmill. (Myoview)

Firstly that was 6 minutes I don’t want to experience again, flushed pain in right arm where meets chest but worse pain in stomach !!

Anyway was fine after until that evening when I was getting pain on movement in certain positions.

Unable to sleep and woke this morning with a pain from bottom of back right down my left leg!

Feel exhausted now and no appetite and stomach feels bloated !

Has anytime else experienced anything similar there is not much on internet about how you feel after it.

Hi Echo24uk

Happy to hear the test has been done.

Did you take a GTN spray with you for the stress test?

I believe a delayed reaction can be normal to a stress test, Do you know which stress agent they used?

If your symptoms aren’t subsiding, it is probably safe to make contact with your GP.

During my stress test, I had pain upon administration, including the abdominal pain that you refer to however, the pain stopped once the test was done. I was exhausted after, but I believe this is normal.

All the best.

tos92 thanks for the reply. The pain isn’t like typical angina pain I have been getting. I just feel exhausted and breathless and no energy

Feeling tired and overall less energetic after a stress test is normal. However, I see you have an appointment tomorrow so I hope if there is anything of concern, it is picked up then. Good luck.

finally might get some answers! Amazing how quickly people go from being concerned after initial diagnosis to getting fed up of your moaning 😂

Hi Echo, I had one of these tests a few months ago . I didn't experience the pain but was very tired for about a day. I would suggest contacting your GP, 111 or if the hospital has provided a contact number. If you continue to get symptoms please tell a medical professional. The BHF helpline has experienced cardiac nurses who are very knowledgeable if you want further information f

thanks pains eased off a bit but still tired !

Back tomorrow for the further scan

I have had bouts of pericarditis since my stent so wonder if it’s more that the ‘exercise’ stress has flared that up !

Hi, Echo24uk,

I had a nuclear stress test in April 2022. I did not have the pain that you mentioned during the test. I had had a HA about two weeks before the test so I already felt tired and weak before and on the day of testing.

I hope that your results are good, and that you soon feel better. 😊
