AF and Bisoprolol
Hello
Bisoprolol is a good drug and one so many of us get prescribed but like any med it does have side effects and the main one is making you feel tired
Your Husband sounds like he tolerated the smaller dose and hopefully as his body adjusts to the higher dose he will tolerate that to but if not then talk with your Doctor if there are any other options
Let us know how he gets on x
Thank you for your clear answer. I have a couple of elderly aunts who struggle with this effect.
One is amazing and manages her problems so well that she seems lots younger than she is, and the other one, who I help, has no concept of good health management and often does the opposite of any sensible suggestions, so it's valuable to me to hear what reality is!
I sense your kindness and will to help and I feel less alone in my endeavours to care for her as a result. Thank you!
Me and beta blockers aren't good mates. I have a reasonably low resting heart rate of around 50 pre and post NSTEMI. I was put on the lowest dose of 1.25mg of Bisoprolol and it floored me. HR dropping into low 30s and shattered all the time. Hopefully, your hubby will be fine but always worth checking any unwanted side effects with doctor.
I was so tired on Bisoprlol finally figured it out from this forum on a different medicine now and back to normal. My advice mention it to those prescribing and ask for an alternative
hi I’m on 10mg a day and I get very tired Iv been on it about 7 years now.
Superbly put. As I thought/guessed. Thank you!
Sorry, can't really comment as I was prescribed four heart meds after my heart attack. I do have side effects from either one or more of the meds but can't work out which is doing what.
