It sounds as if you're recovering really well, Jennywren, that's great news to read! That old saying "slow and steady wins the race" is a good one to remember after an op like yours and you'll get there. I was medically fit to be discharged just four/five days after a triple bypass last year but I think my real recovery started in earnest once I got home to my own bed! Take care and continue to look after yourself. Wishing you all the very best. Carol
Good morning...There you go....it's all done and over with 👍. When you get home just take each day as it comes. You will have some marvellous days going forwards but you may also experience some days when you don't feel so good. Listen to your body and don't overdo things...... accept help when you can get it. Youve just had major surgery that will take a while to recover from so try not to expect too much of yourself.
It sounds as though everything has gone well for you and I hope your recovery continues in that mode. Stay positive ....all the best and good luck now moving forwards xx
Well done for getting through it! İ really hope you have a speedy and problem-free recovery. İ was told last month that my mitral regurgitation had worsened (which I was expecting) but that İ now had a leaking tricuspid valve and pulmonary hypertension! Somewhat of a shock. Has the surgery improved your pulmonary hypertension? İ have also been told that a clip will repair my mitral valve. İ saw from your previous posts you opted for open heart surgery rather than a clip . Would be really interested to hear your progress. Thanks for posting. All the best.
I had tricuspid regurgitation in 2017 then I had a pacemaker put in. It worsened and in November 22 said it was severe, the pacemaker wires going through it didn’t help I’m guessing, it also showed the right side of my heart wasn’t working well and pulmonary hypertension was 60, my cardiologist told me all this after an echo in November. He thought the Triclip would be best for me, I wasn’t keen, after different things I’d read and knowledgeable people I spoke to, it’s fairly new. As it turned out they couldn’t do the clip on me anyway. That’s good you can have the Mitral Clip, I believe that’s been done a lot longer and it’s on the left so don’t need to open you up.it a bit early to tell about the hypertension yet I think but I was surprised I could walk up two flights of stairs today so here’s hoping. Thanks for your good wishes. And all the best yo you.
