Hi Altitude7
I’m sorry to hear about your low EF and that it is causing minimal appetite. In an effort to make sure you post gets seen, I’m going to tag Hidden and Lezzers . They are two of our respected forum members and I know they both have experiences with heart failure.
I hope your appetite improves soon and that forum members come along soon to help.
All the best.

Hi Altitude
Loss of appetite is a very common theme with HF, particularly if you're retaining fluid around your stomach area. Are your medical team aware of your stomach swelling? How long have you been taking your diuretic? Has this helped the swelling at all & are you experiencing breathlessness as well?
Yes that happened to me when a doctor at my surgery decided to put me on metformin, even though I’m borderline diabetic at 43. I became very ill and couldn’t breathe properly or eat, as I just felt full and lost my appetite. My stomach became swollen from fluid retention and I felt full up all the time. My local hospital gave me an infusion of furosemide to get rid of the fluid. My heart failure doctor arranged to see me and after an echo they began me on a cocktail of meds for heart failure Entresto was the main one, which did help me.
Hi I had no appetite when I had heart failure, I was on entresto the lowest dose as I couldn't tolerate anything higher. The hospital referred me to a dietician and she ended up prescribing some kind of drinks, the name escapes me, to try and keep my weight stable. Char
