Had more stents fitted July 2022 and tbh been pretty much ok until this year when slowly been getting more breathless walking uphill and also biking, recovery also takes longer and suffering More fatigue.
(have had a lot of issues since my HA on April 29th 2019, resulting in 7 angiograms and 5 stents all in my lad)
Had follow up with one of cardiologistās assistants by phone March who I informed on my issues and changed my ranolazine to 750mg and booked me in for Nuclear Stress Test for 2 weeks later.
Got another appointment 2 weeks ago for another test but this one is at rest and for longer (2-2/2 hours) ? Anyone have any idea or experiences on why they would want one at rest?
tbh symptoms has worsened over last few weeks
Thanks in advance
James

Hi James. I am no expert, but when I had a myocardial perfusion test, it was done both at rest and then stressed so they were able to compare . They were able to identify the main cause of my symptoms by comparing. Trust the experts to get the tests done that are needed to help them decide the best course of treatment is my advice and when you get the chance ask questions to help your understanding. I tend to write down things I want to know before any appointments. Good luck with everything
As per others above, for comparison to see what happens on scans at rest and when stressed.
thanks all, will wait and see what they findš hopefully they will get to the bottom of it and will be able to get on with things without the hospital visits for a while š„³š¤£š
