Hope this post I allowed. Had a lovely day at Audley end house and boy am I'm glad of the interventional cardiologist who put in my stent in last year. This time last year I would have been using my spray half a dozen times during the day, especially as it was a bit of a steep climb up to the car park, and plenty of stairs in the house.
Lovely day out.: Hope this post I... - British Heart Fou...
Lovely day out.
Perfect post about a perfect day, very positive and that has to be a good thing.
Take care
Hello
Sounds like a lovely day out and prove what a difference having a stent can make x
The n.h s. can be rubbish at times but I found everyone at Basildon cardiothoratic Centre very good and caring. Couldn't gave wished for better care.
Glad you enjoyed your day out - many more to come !
A wonderful day! 👏👏👏😊
And why shouldn't it be allowed? Isn't this forum about sharing our experiences? Thanks for sharing this with us.
You definitely sound as if you had a really lovely, positive day Ann. It makes all of us feel better to read of other people's happy experiences and surely this site should welcome that. Here's to many more happy, healthy days to come for you. Carol x
isn’t that feeling incredible ! I get it climbing stairs - I remember how I used to stop huff puff moan groan and stagger up them gasping for breath and now I flit I fly and bounce up them !! Heart surgeons are the best !!! Everyday I appreciate their brilliance !! ( 18 months post op )
REad an article about that place just yesterday and wished I lived close enough to visit. SO glad you could enjoy it.
Lot more of the house open than when we last went, which must have been when the girls were small . It was visiting the nursery which was at the top of the house which was a killer on the knees. I know before I had the stent there is no way I could have climbed those stairs without getting bad angina
Well done, you. I couldn't climb lots of stairs, and it would be a bit cold in the gardens. May be when it gets warmer ...
Well I'm in Lancashire but it's somewhere I've always wanted to visit. Doesn't sound to be any good though for a mobility scooter. My heart would probably manage but not my spine.
There are lots of grounds you could get round on scooter, the organic veg garden would be very interesting in the summer and sheltered too. The service areas ie kitchen laundry were accessible by a scooter.
Ann this is just the kind of posts and experiences we need putting on here. Just so that the scared and justifiable petrified people waiting for procedures or experiencing heart issues for the first time can see that good times lie ahead for them and procedures work to help them regain normal life. Good luck to you for many many more happy days out x
