Been to the Vets

Had to have our Cat Gucci put to sleep this morning. She had started earlier in the week walking around in circles and not understanding where she was. The vet said it was probably a Brain issue and she would not have got better. So I believe we did the right thing, hard but the end was peaceful and the Vet and Nurse really understanding. Bye Gucci now with your sister Prada you will be Queens of the roost being Bengal Tigers. Gucci was 17 1/2 a well spoiled cat.

Regards

Gucci and Prada both Designer Cats !!

Having had to take my German Shepherd Dog to the vet to be put to sleep I don't think I could ever do it again.

A pet is a part of the family so you feel the loss like any bereavement.

I totally get how you all must be feeling.

It sounds like the right decision as hard as it must have been.

My heart goes out to you both over the loss of your little Gucci,

I have said it before, I have mourned the loss of a pet more than I have some relatives.

The hurt will heal but the space they leave never gets smaller, its always their space.

Please take care

I know exactly how you feel - we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old British Blue a few weeks ago. They are much loved family members, but better for them to have a peaceful, painless end. They have had a great life with us! XX

Bless you, that's so sad. They're just like family members aren't they. My daughter had to take time off work after having one of hers put to sleep, because she was so heartbroken and couldn't stop crying. She called them her babies and worried that the other cat she had was lonely. It's truly heartbreaking and I feel for you. xxx

Hi Prada47. So sorry to hear that you have had to say goodbye to your fur baby Gucci. We said goodbye to our cat Billy earlier this year -he was 23 and it was the very best end it could be & we honour them by giving them a gentle & loving passing. Billy's end has been the start of our new furry dictator's life with us after his original owner could no look after him due to illness. There is a new loving heart waiting for the opportunity to come into your life and we are the richer for it. Thinking of you x

it’s always a sad decision to make but we take this step as it’s the best way-I wish we were allowed the same compassion for humans instead of prolonging what could be a stressful, traumatic and often unnecessary upsetting end. Sorry if I’ve strayed from the accepted view.

oh dear. How very sad. My totally spoilt cat has helped me through OHS recovery and even more, through stroke recovery. Cats are wonderful little animals. So clever. My Sooty is nocturnal, but he is in our house every day. If he left us I think I would have to find a new cat to share my life.

Best wishes

Proud and free purring memories to you Prada, such a sad time when a cat dies, leaving such a hole in our lives. Last time we lost a cat I waited a year thinking I'd never have another, then contacted Cinnamon Trust and a ten year old beauty made us his new home. Its like we've always known him. His previous servant had passed away but he had been much loved by her and is so good and easy going. Condolences.
