Hello all,
I hope you are well.
As you some of you know, I had a Myocardial Perfusion Scan about 3 weeks ago. I got the results this morning, and they seem reassuring. However, the following sentence is making me anxious "likely small foci of mid anterior wall ischemia of less than 5%".
Here is the full contents of the letter:
"I am writing to you with the results of a myoview perfusion scan, the results of which were released on the 29th March 2023. This gentleman has had various cardiac investigations, and I last wrote to you on the 31st March with the results of a holter monitor. He awaits a follow-up with Dr M.
As you will see on ICE, the myoview perfusion scan does show a likely small foci of mid anterior wall ischemia of less than 5% - i.e., not of scintigraphic significance. There was also normal wall motion and function. Although this is of reassurance in that there is no target for intervention, this may, to some degree, account for the exertional symptoms he is getting. This will no doubt all be discussed with Dr M."
I am not asking for medical advice or evaluation of the above results, but I would appreciate any comments or words of advice concerning the above findings.
I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Wednesday, and I was wondering what questions I should ask based on the results above.
Ali
