Hello
It does always make you feel better when you have a shower
You and your Mum are both stars
Well done ! x
Mum's a star and I'm being patient with her and not killing her just yet 😂😂
Wait until you are better first lol 🤪. Your mum sounds wonderful. Wish l still had my mum.
You can't kill her you might need her again x
Great news!
Remember all the things your mum is doing for you, the time will come when the tables will turn and you'll be doing it for her.
You did so well asking for help and not trying to do it all yourself, yeah makes you feel like a new person again. How you feeling v x ❤️
Nothing nicer than squeaky clean skin and hair { or in my case hairy skin ! } remember it well after a long visit in hospital { the dog thanked me after as well }.
Another step done x
Well done, and I'm sure mum was really pleased to help you. Don't forget, you are still her "little girl"!
celebrate each small win… go get some more, but be patient…
Oh yes I bet that has made you feel much better👍🏽 A win indeed! Keep up the perseverance & progress 👌🏼
Woohoo. Getting a shower and hair washed makes us feel so much better so thats definitely a win😊x
I still remember my first 'proper' shower after the bypass op last February. I'd been nipping in & out of the shower for a few days with my back to the showerhead almost afraid to get my wound wet. The first time I plucked up the courage to turn around and actually stand there and let the water cascade down my front just felt amazing. I stayed in there so long I must have looked like a prune when I finally stepped out again, but I felt like a million dollars!
Totally agree I was so desperate for one a few days after the op that my lovely nurses got a wheelchair, carried my drips and drains and all the other stuff and helped me have a shower washed my hair and pleated it (I have very curly hair), I felt so much better. I will never forget their kindness. I hope your recovery goes well. Take care char x
Congratulations, You! That was indeed a win!
On the other hand, I just bought a product called Scrubzz to have on hand in case a problem occurs. These are 8 inch by 8 inch sheets that when 1-2 tablespoons of water is added begin to suds up and allow one to have a wash up. You don’t have to rinse and no sticky residue. Not as good as a real shower, but could be very handy when one is feeling really weak after a HA or after surgery.
Again, keep making the wins! Each one counts.
Happy Easter!
hi. My husband had to wash my hair for a few weeks after my ohs, it drove me mad but I was grateful that he did it. He’s a very kind man but I think that because I complained so much he might have purposely let the water go down the back of my neck a few times!! While I was by in hospital I couldn’t wash my hair properly for nearly 2 weeks and it drove me crazy. There’s no better feeling than clean hair. Xx
