shaking

hi I seem to be quite physically shaky, it’s especially visible in my hands but my insides shake too. I thought it was my carpal tunnel but definitely not. My pounding heart continues to vibrate through left side, neck and head but I’m definitely shaky. I was doing a zip up this morning and it took a couple of attempts to get it ready to zip up. My fork wobbles in my hand when eat.

I had one noticeable episode last week - had been napping and got up (I do everything very slowly I have learnt not to rush anything due to my persistent angina) then everything shook especially muscles in legs, arms and hands and insides especially heart area.

Got headaches too, like migraine type. Back to sofa surfing as only way to rest head. But it hurts again when sit up and move. Had a particularly bad one early evening yesterday with a sharp white light “denting” my vision - eyes open and closed. Dark room and quiet for a while helped.

I’m drinking more water and weeing for England as result.

Might just be down to my persistent angina but just wondered if anyone else experienced this.

I really try not to take notice of every little thing but it’s noticeable and wondered if anyone has similar.

Sounds like you need a call to 111,at least. I would also be thinking about 999.

thanks but what might it be?

you need a medic to tell you that.

Hi Hidden

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. Because they are new symptoms, I would call 111 just to be on the safe side.

Let us know how you get on. Tos x

crikey I was not expecting advice to make that call, really I wasn’t! What could it be?

I couldn’t give you a diagnosis, but any new symptoms, especially to the heart, as you say you can feel the “shakiness” there too, should warrant at least a call to 111.

If 111 suggest A&E, and I know that’s probably the last place you want to be (I was there last Monday), then at least they can check your BP, draw some bloods and order any other testing that they need.

Please be safe & as Hidden has said, let us know how you get on.

Hello :-)

Sounds like you are not having it good at all and after reading your post I would call 111 and see what they advise

Let us know how you get on :-) x

it’s not good everyday really, I’ve been thinking it’s my new normal. And cardiologist doesn’t think I’m at risk of any “events” they’re quite dismissive of anything happening. Then little things change. That’s why I don’t call my approach is if some massive change I’ll call but this might bite me in the bum, I’m reluctant - bit of a hypocrite when I advising others they should call. Really didn’t think you loveLy people would advice to call 😟

Hello :-)

I can imagine how you must be feeling but you are as important as anyone else on here so yes you call and make sure everything is alright you deserve that as much as anyone else

If you do please let us know how you get on :-) x

I agree with everyone else.Time to ring 111 or 999.

I have very similar symptoms when I have severe coronary vasospasms.

There is a condition called "Essential Tremor" which causes visible shaking. I get a strong vibration where even my eyes wobble but that's because of spinal damage briefly touching my spinal cord. I doubt that it's connected to your heart or AF . YOu need to see your doctor. The initial test is simple. They just put a piece of paper on your hand and if they can see it shake they wi ll send you for more tests.

hi will do a separate post about my visit to A&E but wish I’d seen this before as they weren’t so interested in the shaking, but I just tried the above and paper definitely shook. Maybe I could mention to GP? Thanks

LOok it up but only use reputable websites and do talk to your GP about it. It's usually diagnosed by a neurologist but remember it could be caused by some medication you take. Don't get worried by Parkinsons; that's very different. The Mayo clinic website is pretty good. The NHS website only comments on Parkinsons or MS ( very very unlikely) but it does say you will be asked about medicines you a re taking so it could be side effects or even nerve damage from a trapped nerve. This website is pretty good and may rule it out for you. tremor.org.uk/

thank you I will certainly take a look, and thank you more for the steer on what is more reputable sources that always helps. Yes could be meds, I do have carpel tunnel so might be nerves. I’ll keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions 😁

Interestingly I have exactly the same symptoms and including lack of appetite and dry mouth, I put it down to medication and trying to adjust bisoprolol. I might just give 111 a call.

in reply to Doublef

there is no harm in doing so, I have found today, could be meds. It’ll give you peace of mind. 👍
