I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time, and I think we are more anxious when we have babies depending on us it’s a huge responsibility .The only thing I can relate to is I can get enormous scalp tension pressure , particularly withdrawing from beta blockers, and a few times I ve had a really strange electric shock/tingling feeling over my scalp. Thought I was having a stroke the first time it happened. Your feeling might have a different cause but try massaging / moving your scalp around with your finger tips . The least it should do is relax you a bit . Anxiety can play terrible tricks. Sorry I can’t be more help am sure others can. You take care

So sorry you are suffering. Just wondering if it may have something to do with your thyroid as you are losing weight that possibly it is overworking mine is slow and one tends to put on weight have you had a blood test to check things out

Thank you They tested for that months ago and said that it wasn't my thyroid so im still at square one

Hi there

I don’t know if this is related but I started having severe headaches out of the blue, so bad I couldn’t do much.

I went to see a private neurologist at the Alex and had a brain scan. No problems with the scan but was given gabapentin which worked for a while then the headaches came back

Went to see another NHS neurologist and he diagnosed me with hemicrania continua. More drugs that didn’t work so ibuprofen and paracetamol is all I take now.

I’m afraid there’s not much help for this other than drugs which make me sick.

I believe there are prescription drugs for migraine but I was never offered them despite the hospital writing to my doctors.

I wish you good luck with sorting this out as I know it’s not pleasant and stressful when you have dependants.

Val

Good evening Keksey44, Your mail stated that you were suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, are you having treatment for those symptoms as both conditions can cause all sorts of unwanted and unexpected problems, also have you tried any relaxation techniques that may help, good luck to you and the three little ones.

Hi you are not alone with these headaches, I can fully understand what they are like and how debilitating they are, in recent weeks I have had horrendous ones lasting 24 hours, my family have all grown up, so I didn't have the worry of looking after them but I felt so bad, two scans showed nothing and pain killers, tramadol and Co codamol didn't touch it, my blood pressure went up, my consultant said the pain caused it and started me on tablets, low and behold the severe ones have stopped, I do still live in fear of having another one, I am back at the hospital next week to discuss it, I don't know if it was high blood pressure that was causing them and just co incidence that they have stopped, just relieved, the hospital did say sometimes there are no specific reasons for them and they do have a clinic that specialises in headaches I could be referred to, I live in Scotland, but mabe your health board has something similar, I really hope they will clear up soon take care char
