I just want to share some good news with people who understand why I am so pleased. I have been walking on holiday, high in the mountains and managed very well. I did take it easy and put layers on when it got cooler. This is the first time I have done this since angina diagnosis and having a stent. I did even better than before I had my stent. And with eating lots of lovely food on holiday I have only put 2 lb on, must be all the walking. So for others with heart disease things can be good again.
Best wishes to all, Anke

Thank you, it meant a lot as well as only 2 days before we went away I had spoken to the Gp about side affects from one of the medications that had been doubled, but it settled down.
Wow! Go you! How fantastic, it's always lovely to read something positive..I too have angina but unfortunately still out of puff!! But I do enjoy waking with my dog but miss harder walking.. But never say never! X
Brilliant news. It’s good to hear about your holiday. I’m still nervous about going on holiday and doing things so it’s great to hear your positive experience. Thank you for sharing best wishes. Zena
Yes lovely news. Two months after my heart attack and stent I went on a previously booked holiday walking at 2000 metre high. I took 4 days off from walking across the 12 days and felt a lot more confidence on my return home without incident.
Hi well done I had Mitral Valve replacement and tricuspid repair two years ago all did not go well and has taken the best part of eighteen months to get back to feeling fitter again I lost a lot of muscle on my legs and found it difficult to walk but like you I persevered we have just come back from Devon and all in all we walked 40 miles in a week I never thought I could do it so to all of you out there don't give up.
That is good to hear, 40 miles is quit a distance in a week. After one of the walks we did I treated myself to a large ice cream, I choose one with hot berries for the healthy bit.
