Formally discharged from the trial and referred back to G.P. Letter also sent to cardio rehab team. As it's actually six months since I had the stent fitted (although obviously I didn't know that I had had the stent until three weeks ago, it being a blind trial) wondering if I get offered it I would benefit from cardio rehab now.In a different note I don't know if any of you folks are from Essex and know about the Essex Heart Fund. It's a fairly New charity which aims to offer support to patients and their families after they come out of hospital. Supports research into heart matters and aims to give grants to local voluntary groups who support heart patients. I know any contribution however small would be gratefully received.

Hello
You always knew I think from your past posts that you thought you had a stent and I have even been following to see if you were right and you were !
I am not sure about the Rehab if it will be offered now but if so yes I would go for it
Thank You again for taking part on this if it was not for people like you all these advanced things they can do now would not be possible you will have helped so many without even knowing you have x
If only. Got 2 arthritic knees and am on the list for a knee replacement. Do manage a couple of aqua classes a week and Tuesday afternoon is spent walking around our local hospital as I volunteer on the help desk.
It was a bit selfish on my part as I would have had to wait 6 to 7months for a stent and I knew if I took part in the trial I would have a 50/50 chance of getting one then. The doc I was under during the trial has been a star so supportive when things not related to the actual trial occurred and even bringing a prescription to my door and picking up the last questionare. Just hope when he finally makes consultant his is still so empathetic.
