Just after some information and possible reassurance. I'm 8 months post 3x bypass. Good recovery back to work and back to the gym.
I have noticed over the past couple of days in the evening when I finally sit down my heart rate is low even lower than when I'm asleep.
This is all based on Fitbit but states my resting is around 57. But as I sit here typing the screen flashes up at 50 (which is accurate from me taking a pulse reading)
I feel fine. And not sure if it is something I should be discussing with the docs.
Any thoughts?

If you feel fine and have no other symptoms then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Thats what my cardiologist told me when my resting heart rate was 50-60. this was 6 months after she found it to be 35 bpm with severe heart failure. When it was 35 bpm i had no symptoms either so she wasn't too concerned. She did however lower the beta blockers and this in turn raised the heart rate. Now sits around 60-80.
I am on beta blocker and resting Heart rate is 51 and sometimes below 50s .. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad..last time my cardiologist wasn't concerned but reduced my dose
My resting heart rate is often around 45-50. This is broadly similar to pre HA days. I've been told I have a "strong pump", possibly as a result of all the swimming I did. It has increased since I was told to stop taking bisoprolol 3 weeks ago. Prior to that it had dropped into low-mid 30s and I was wiped out, dizzy and unable to do much. Much depends what is "normal" for you and how you are feeling and if it concerns you there is no harm in discussing with the Dr.
Mine used to go very low down to the low 40's. It was one of the meds I was on which when I spoke to the doctor we agreed I could do without. So we stopped it and monitored my BP which was all good and my HR has been fine since
4 years nearly post bypass my resting heart rate averages around 50- according to the cardiologist I’m either an extremely fit athlete or the beta blocker is keeping it low- I know which one it prob is!!!
I agree that if you feel fine then don’t worry. I had a double bypass 22 years ago and my pulse was always between 40 and 50 bpm. I had no problems until last year when I had chest pains and was feeling unwell. The consultant felt that my symptoms were due to the 2.5mg Bisoprolol that I had been taking since 2000. The Bisoprolol has now been reduced to 1.25mg. I’m feeling well and my pulse is now about 59 to 60 bpm at rest.
Those figures look good to me. My resting pulse rate starts around 58 in the morning and slowly reduces during the day to low 50s, even high 40s by evening. Occasionally drops to low 40s when I get a bit of postural hypotension - just need to be careful standing up after sitting for a long time.
