Hi, I have recently been diagnosed (age 44) with coarctation of the aorta with almost complete occlusion and extensive collateralisation. I was just wondering if there is anyone with a similar condition or has experienced treatment for this condition, and if so how they are being or were treated for it?
many thanks in advance

I can only imagine how you felt being told you have this, you must be very anxious and worried about what's the next step. I had this condition I was born with it mine was very severe needed surgery at a day old they repaired it. Has your cardiologist mentioned what they plan to do? Are they monitoring you or have you been told about having surgery. Sorry I can't be of more help because I was too young when I went through this hopefully your cardiologist can fill you in with more details. Take care and please keep us updated on your progress ❤️
