I have had 2 stents put in over a year ago.I am having what I perceived to be pain in the nights in my chest, sometimes stabbing that comes and goes. Sometimes like a low ache up high in my sternum. I think it's anxiety and am seeing the GP for some blood tests to be reassured. Last night itbwas touch and go for me to phone ambulance feel better this morning so it could be laying down and just general anxiety.
Does anyone have any medication for the anxiety?
Thanks in advance.

hi, I use to take sertraline for my anxiety and found it helped whilst having counselling. I no longer take it now as I feel I’m in a better place and can manage situations better. I suffer from chest pains which causes my anxiety but haven’t needed any stents etc. I would say if you are ever in doubt with chest pains then at least ring 111 whatever time it is.
I at present being treated for anxiety and take mirtazapine 45mg, take the edge off if you can understand. I had two stents fitted then two years later another stent fitted and that just seemed to send me over the edge after all I had done and still having another stent fitted. I don't know whether it was all that went on leading to the other stent. Waiting two and a half hours for an ambulance, waiting four and a half hours for a space in a&e in the ambulance, getting diagnosed at seven in the morning then waiting eleven hours for a hed on the ward, then next morning carted off to another hospital because they haven't got an angiogram. With counselling it does ease believe me I had the lot going on, dissociation, direalization fight and flight response the lot but I am coping better now with proper counselling, trust me it gets better I as I should imagine you do just want your life back, it will get better.
