So it's just a little over 6 months since my triple bypass and it's finally feeling like I'm out the other side.

First off things have settled well. No major niggles just the odd feeling around the chest from the nerve damage.

Cardio rehab really helped me get going again and I'm now doing it in the community which has helped me lots. I've even been able to return to the gym and do things from before the operation.

I've even been able to start returning to my job as a fitness instructor working in gym. Something at times people said I wouldn't be able to do.

Excellent news to hear you are back in full fettle. Keep going and enjoy life. Maybe like me, you'll be able to do more than you did before the op. 😀

That’s great news Carlg

It’s 3 months since my triple bypass but the only problem I have is I’m suffering with anxiety, did you have this ? , I went swimming every week day early morning opens at 6, Carlg do you think I should force myself to start going again, I know I would not be able to swim like used for a while but it’s just chatting with everyone

Take care

Pat

I would check with a professional about swimming as I know it can use the chest a lot. But any form of moving I feel is good for the recovery. Even perhaps starting off walking in the water

I swum a lot before my HA last November. Been discussing when I can go back to it with rehab. Likely to be gentle breaststroke to begin with as it's mostly a leg stroke. No front crawl for a bit as that would put too much pressure being an arm stroke.
