Wondering about cessation of exercise for a period of time given intermittent discomfort due to myocarditis? Am a fit, middle age woman- anyone else- have info or suggestions?

Thank you,

since your original illness has it caused an increase in weight which in turn makes it more difficult to exercise?

My daughter has Myocarditis. She started to feel unwell and was admitted to hospital on Jan 5th. She was in for 8 days and was told on discharge that she had to have complete rest for 4 weeks followed by a phased return to school. She was also told absolutely no excercise or lifting for 6 months or anything that would elevate her heart rate for any period of time. She is 18 and before this she was very fit (she was a competitive sprinter until very recently)

It's normally recommended to avoid exercise when diagnosed with myocarditis... most recommend 3-6months for recovery.

I'm 7 months on and I still get pain and discomfort if I exert myself.
