I have been taking it since september, prescribed instead of lanzoperole which I couldn't tolerate. Had no problems and keeps acid reflux under control. Was taking Omeprozole but it's not tolerated with clopdigerol.

Thankyou for the reply. I’ve been suffering with chest pains on and off, more on than off the past 5 years and still not got to the bottom of it after loss of tests. The dr has gave me these to try to see if it helps as I’ve got pain right near my sternum and some discomfort in stomach around that same area

Presume you have had an endoscopy. That's how I found I had moderate erosive gastritis, probably caused by years on anti inflammatory 's before I had a hip replacement 21 years ago. Every thing else seems to be falling apart, but hip is still going strong.😬

yep I’ve had one of them and came back ok apart from food pipe contractions weaker than normal. This was back in 2019

I've been taking it since having severe oesophagitis despite being on omeprazole. No side effects and it's worked for me.

Hi Lcfc85 I have been taking it for a couple of years for acid reflux couldn’t tolerate any of the others, works ok with clopidogrel whereas omeprazole interacts with it. Hope it works for you.

I've been taking pantoprazole for a couple of years, it's the only "prazole" that agrees with me. I'm on daily aspirin for life, and from time to time it causes acid reflux. Two or three days on pantoprazole clears up the problem very efficiently.

sounds very similar to me so I’m actually looking forward to taking them and trying it

Hi sorry to hear you have been prescribed this drug. However, I would say that this drug changed my life. The reflux that I get is kept under control. I can go to bed and not have the horrible feeling of choking. The downside of it is it reduces the calcium absorbed by your body. It really depends on how long you have to be on it for and the dosage. Please speak with your GP or Pharmacist if you have any further concerns.

Best wishes
