ok.. for the last few months my HR has been falling to 39-42 during the night even when i wasn’t asleep.. that along with fatigue and dizziness.. son persuaded me to contact GP.. she told me to come see her today.. result she has stopped my ivabradine which was prescribed by Cardiologist.. go back to see Practice Nurse next week for BP and HR check.. hopefully HR will pick up.. BP has been playing silly beggers.. on meds for hypertension for years...but felt awful one day last week.. took my BP which was 90/59.. that definitely isn’t hypertension lolol.. happened again a few days ago.. and today it was high again lol

i think you’re right! just googled ivabradine.. apart from my low HR.. it seems it shouldn’t normally be taken along with dilitaziem.. which i’m also taking.. and also states that GP can discontinue it without referring back to Cardiologist

Hello Manhattan. I struggled with Ivabradine too. My HF increased my dose to 2 a day and I felt awful. Sometimes it is trial and error getting the medication right.

hi Becks.. HR down to 44 last night.. will see what it is tonight..in a way i hope it was the ivabradine.. don’t think the other meds should be causing this problem

It's funny how some meds affect one person but not another! My HFN said I'm like a finely tuned Ferrari but on Ivabradine I felt like a clapped out Ford.

hi Becks.. evening HR now 48.. an improvement!.. but i seem to be experiencing a lot more niggling chest discomfort and HR increase..going upstairs can reach 98 and vacuuming the carpet reached 101.. i know it’s not a dangerous level but just seems high fir minimal effort lolol.. don’t know if it’s to do with the ivabrade withdrawal

Tbh I'm not qualified to say. Have you contacted your GP or the heart failure nurse at your hospital. My resting HR is about 64 but then a small amount of Ivabradine and Bisoprolol together seem to keep it at that rate.

might contact GP if chest niggles continue.. as far as i know i don’t have HF.. Cardiologist has never mentioned it.. i think he prescribed ivabradine to lower HR to minimise chest pain

isorobide mononitrate 120mg... dilitaziem 90mg.. perindopril 8mg bendroflumozide 2.5mg.. aspirin 75mg.. plus an antihistamine and allupurinal 400mg to prevent gout

Wow. What a lot u got. Three blood pressure tablets that would certainly put me into bradycardia and hypotension. Normally

bendroflumozide would not be prescribed for patients being treated for gout.

hospital advised stopping perindopril and bendroflumazide a few months ago for 2 weeks due to low kidney eGfr but my bp shot up.. so had to restart bp meds again.. i have CKD stage 3b
