is glucosamine and chondroitin okay with heart medications including riveroxaban?
Ask your local pharmacist who will give you a professional opinion about any interactions between your medication and any supplements you are considering taking.
I agree with LowerField, you should ask a professional about your medication. For what it's worth, I've been taking "glucosamine and chondroitin" tablets for several years before I had any heart issues, and continued taking them when the Cardiology team started me off on Bisoprolol beta blocker in Salisbury hospital in October, all fine.
I'm like Eldot. Have been taking chondroitin and glucosamine for about 8 years to try to help my arthritis. Continued to take them after heart bypass. No problem that I am aware of.
I don't know about the meds you are taking but I do know that glucosamine and chondroitin can be very effective. A work colleague was looking at knee surgery but having taken these supplements he no longer needed it. However I don't think that you can take it with Warfarin as when I started taking it my INR went up to around 4.0, which has never happened before in over 30 years of taking Warfarin.
