Sept had 4 stents put in, went through rehab . Since changed my diet mainly plant based and fish... occasionally chicken meat..reduced salt intake ..full cream milk..exercise increased and walking 7 days a week. Always active a fit before the heart diagnosis. My BP around 114/65 and resting hr 58.on BB , statin and regular medicine, after long tine Suddenly today I am feeling very dizzy no other symptoms . BP seems to be fine and HR hasn't changed. I don't know if it is heart or some deficiency due to medicine or change of diet. Making me worried. Anyone felt that way? Is something I should be worried? Every small tweaks and issues makes me anxious. My cardiologist appointment is not until 1st Feb . I did my regular resistance training and I felt fine...fine on exertion

if your exercise and dietary regimen is ok then it may be dosages of tablets need adjusting. e.g. that occurred with me on statins with muscle pain so doctor adjusted dosage. also I found after runs on my ebike I experienced dizziness upon getting off bike which involved a review of my blood pressure meds. sounds like you need an earlier appointment to check and to allay any anxiety

Thanks pianomanuk yes from last month to few days earlier my HR and BP dropped and making me feel dizzy after 6-7 km walk .. cardiologist suggestions was if that continues she l drop or lower BB .. however yesterday dizziness was not post walk or exercise. It was while at home and it lasted for long time .I had lots of muscle pain etc. But recently taking coq10 and magnesium helped a bit issue is not as bad as before.

I will see if I can book in with GP probably cardio appointment I may have to wait

Make an urgent appointment with your GP is my suggestion. That's what they are there for. At least you will have something firm in place rather than waiting hours for call backs from 111 or relying on well meaning people on here offering their interpretation of your situation. But if your symptoms deteriorate you should consider a trip to A&E but preferably not driving yourself if you are dizzy.

What state are you in? We also have:....... 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) is a confidential phone service that provides health advice to Queenslanders. You can phone and talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the cost of a local call.

These nurses are not cardiac nurses either, but have a good idea when you should go to hospital. Sodp, if you are in doubt, best to go to Emergency Dept. I was told by paramedics as well as emergency doctors, that they would rather we come in and find it's not our heart, than we not come in and possibly have a heart attack.

I would suggest you contact your GP asap for an urgent appointment. Dizziness can be caused by very low salt intake and not drinking enough water. Meanwhile, I suggest you avoid carbonated drinks, tea, coffee and caffeinated drinks and replace with water which will allow the blood to reach your brain faster. Also ask your GP to check out your ears as ear problems can also affect your balance.

Thanks Beta70 . I am suspecting low salt intake as I have cut all process or junk food and reduce my salt intake significantly. Saw gp today ask me to do fasting blood test .nothing about ear .will follow up with him in next visit.

sodp. I certainly don’t take care of myself like you do….congrats on your discipline. I also have dizzy issues for most of a year. I have been to every doctor possible to resolve. Docs don’t know why I have this issue. Now they are saying it might be an anxiety disorder as my pulse ramps up and down. I am a retired 72 male. I don’t have stress or anxiety. Dizziness is hard to live with. I feel your pain and pray you get it resolved. PC

Have you been tested for POTS syndrome? Postural Orthostatic Tadycardia Syndrome. It is not very common and has only been known about for the last 10 years. But this causes dizziness due to high and low blood pressure changing from resting to standing/moving. Dr Sanjay Gupta and Doctor David Weisman have presented informative You Tube Videos on it. Many people with it have been misdiagnosed and are so relieved when they finally get a correct diagnosis .

Well that's good to hear it works for some. 👍

Unfortunately my experience on separate occasions when dealing with 111 for different non urgent matters is that they are next to useless, with long waits to get sorted, if at all. And when I talked to them four years ago with chest pains I was referred to a GP drop in centre, who then directed me to hospital A&E. Turns out I had had a heart attack, and should have been directed not to drive, which is how I got from home to GP to hospital.
