Update after seeing cardiologist

Good morning my hearties

I saw my cardiologist yesterday.

The pain in my chest is ectopics and he has started me on bisoprolol. He assured me the sensations will ease. My ecg showed ventricular tachycardia.

He has also written my prescription to start on entresto in 2 weeks time start on 24/26 but said I will need to be on the higher dose as ef is 32%.

My appointment has come through to see the community heart failure nurse on 18th January and I'm under the impression she can change doses if necessary

Things are definitely moving forward now which is good news. I'm hopeful that I can tolerate the drugs together and will help to increase my EF and symptoms.

It's been a tough 3 months finding out I had DCM and other heart related issues. But I'm feeling much more positive now your support has been amazing and I'm very thankful for all of your replies.

I can't wait to move forward and meet my beautiful first grandchild in the Summer.

Take care everyone ❤

Leanne

Great to read such a positive post, where the system functions as intended and the patient sees progress. Hope 2023 brings you even more improvement.

Good luck!

Thank you. I started my journey as a private patient but the cardiologist works in both sectors so I've dipped in and out of both. I really can't complain. I will have first mri echocardiogram in February so will update x
