I saw the Cardiologist today and came away with another Medication, Dapagliflozin.10mg daily.
My GP had written to the Cardiologist to see if he wanted to titrate my Medication downward due to a lower Blood Pressure . Today my BP was 109/70 HR 63 and he said he was quite happy with that as long as I was. So we have stayed at current Entresto, Bisoprolol, as my main medication to be monitored by Heart Failure Nurse who I see next week. It is almost 7 months since my last MRI so he is looking at an Echo to see how my ef is coming along. All in all I think I am doing OK.

Good to hear you're doing so well & another wonder drug added to the routine. Dapagliflozin made a massive difference for kevin, he said he hadn't realised how slow he'd become until he went on this. I hope it works its magic on you too.
Also, because his heart function has reduced considerably kevin is also now on Entresto (another wonder drug) lowest dose only unfortunately and its unlikely to be increased due to potassium & low BP issues, low 90's over low 60's, but its already made a huge difference for him.Though of course the best medication are the good women that look after you & him!! I'll drink to that🍷🍾 cheers
I am still on the middle dose of Entresto, Heart Nurse says I will never get to top dose like Kevin due to Blood Pressure so it is 49/51mg twice a day for Entresto and stick at 7.5mg Bisoprolol. As long as we keep ticking over all is good lol. Have a G & T on me.
sounds like you got good control of your situation with current medications and you should get all the regular follow up support from you nice cardiac nurse. 👍👊
been on Bisoprolol for about two years and suffer fatigue due to lowering my blood pressure. Doctor won’t change the drug or lower the dosage so beware of the potential side effects.
Good to know things are going OK for you. I have been on Bisprolol for some years now. Started on 10mg daily. Currently 7.5mg. After initial extreme tiredness for a few weeks I have no problems with it, apart from the annoying runny nose, which I have learned to live with. Good luck for the future.
Hi Prada47, In January I started to experience major dizziness spells, like you my GP referred me to see a cardiologist, who has changed nearly every medication I was prescribe by Harefield Hospital, the biggest being bisoprolol discharged on 10mg daily, now been drastically reduced to 2.5mg daily as the original amount was to strong.
The most worrying thing in all of this is my GP disagrees with the medication changes so I am more confused than ever.
Hope you get this sorted I am sure you will find other members out there who are confused as you and I.
Hi I was on Bisoprolol 2.5 since Jan 20 without problem until this year - I lost weight and cut right back on alcohol. My BP dropped through the floor and I had bad dizzy spells - I was sure I was now over medicated and my GP dropped the dose to 1.25 which corrected it. So beware of the side effects.
