Hello Question on this system for ordering Medication.
I take 7 different meds and they have been prescribed at different times and changed quite frequently. This gives me a problem on when I can reorder them. I think I am now on 4/5 prescriptions a month " Computer says No " stops me ordering when I try to keep some semblance of order to my meds.
My fault I know, but will run out of Bisoprolol for 3 days so going to cut a 7.5 into half then will only miss one day until New Years Eve. I am quite relaxed over this just wondering has anyone sorted this kind of problem ordering meds using systm online.

I built up a buffer by repeatedly ordering a bit early, so I now never have less than one month's medication in advance. Means I can't be caught out by Christmas or a last minute holiday booking. The Apple computer that I use automatically flags up diary reminders, I'd have thought most computers/smart phones would have a similar facility.
Another thing, I was once going on a long cruise and asked for a month's additional medication, my GP was happy to oblige.
Having said this, I don't have any pain killers, and I believe doctors are understandably reluctant to allow patients to increase their stocks of anything addictive. The Oxycontin nightmare in the US is changing medical practises worldwide.
Good luck!
Hello
If you were to phone your Doctors they would issue you or send a prescription to your chosen chemist rather than you taking half the dose till yours is due
I had a problem where I have several meds and they all wanted ordering on different days and weeks which was getting a full time job keep going on and remembering to order them
I phoned the Doctors and explained they got a pharmacist to phone me they went through all my medications and now I just have to order them all once a month which is great but it just took me to make that phone call
Maybe you could ask them about getting all your prescriptions together once a month it is so much easier x
Hi, I wrote and phoned to try and get my meds synchronised to once a month, the surgery demanded I count all my tablets but wouldn’t adjust it to what I had least of. In the end I just gave up, I have my meds delivered so that means several car journeys a month. I order on Patient Access, communication between the surgery and chemist is dreadful, dates are altered, too much or too little is sent to me, I must have a reputation for complaining by now, it would be so easy if they would just listen 🙉
yes I have this same problem too. All ok to start with then some meds were changed now two prescriptions both at differing dates. Two journeys fir pharmacy to deliver. Difficulty ordering, one will be ready the others not.
My doctor at one point did synchronise but this only lasted until next med needing altering
And you wonder why NHS is failing. This us just one tiny issue in a vast empire of problems
I'm fortunate in that all my meds are sync'd up, so Systmonline works well for me. It allows me to order what I want which is handy as I don't need one of my meds every month. It also allows special requests which my GP practice do respond to. The only issue I have is if I try to order ahead of the due date. I've not been allowed to build up a stock of medication, so if I were to take a long holiday I would have to make special arrangements with my GP practice.
Mine were like that so I just phoned he GP and asked if they could provide extras of some so they were all due at the same time. MInd you I had to work out for them how many of each I would need.
I have been to the surgery this morning and they have sorted a prescription for Bisoprolol to collect today. I have also been given a Prescription Synchronisation Document just count my med and record how I take them then PCN Pharmacy Team will make it just one prescription mmmm want to see how this works lol, especially when Heart Failure Team change meds and how I need to take them !
