Sorry but need to vent - over the past 6 years I've been up cardiology - and since then I've been diagnosed with PSVT -1st Degree AV block- Dialated left atrium- grade 2/6 mid systolic murmur and I've had a few other bumps along the way too. I genuinely feel the skipping of my heart rate and he also said I have Premature Complexes- I had my appointment yesterday and I've been put on a PIFU - if nothing in 9 months then I'm automatically discharged. I had significant pauses during Pregnancy and he won't put me on another ECG post-partum. He debated putting me on meds but then decided against it and told me I've got to try put up with symptoms. Where do I go from here? Feel like it's now all in my head and I've wasted 6 years of hospital trips and appointments.

You have had some very good cardiac attention, over the last few years. If they are now saying you have ‘got to try put up with symptoms’ then perhaps that’s good advice?

You must have been very worried at these symptoms, and they will have felt completely physical to you. But now anything Cardiac has been excluded, so your time, and the investigations, were not wasted.

First off it's natural to be worried, but nothing is for nothing - we are all gigantic chemistry sets and any medication has potential for unintended effects. So I would ask what the medicine was that your specialist considered and what possible side effects there are that made "try to put up with symptoms" a better option in his/her view.
