I had some great news yesterday, I was discharged by cardiology! 2 heart attacks and 5 stents later I'm more or less sorted. It feels great.
It also got me thinking... Since having the first heart attack, and having my life saved by an excellent surgeon, I've been able to work with and help over 70 of the most vulnerable homeless in our local society. I'm now helping people in care homes and mental health wards as their independent advocate.
It feels almost as though I've been given a second crack at life and it's lovely being able to be a positive influence on others.
So huge thanks to the cardiology team at Stoke on Trent / Telford. In helping me, they've helped many many others.

Dear Snoweybm
What a fantastic way to start my day to be able to congratulate you in being off your Cardiology team.
They must be very pleased with your results and by the tone of your post I’m sure you are as well.
Nice that you have gone down the path of helping out others, it’s frightening how much help is needed out here, every bit helps.
Take care Snoweybm and good luck with your new life, and a big thank you for everything your doing to help others, that easily could have been me or anyone of us.
Absolutely brilliant news for you, huge congratulations and thank you for all your help with others. Thank you also for such an inspirational post! Judi
