Rob and Rosemary were well into their nineties and starting to suffer from memory loss.
They decided to see their GP who confirmed they were physically well and suggested they write things down, so they did not forget them.
That evening Rob asked Shrewsbury if she wanted anything from the kitchen. She said, "Yes please, could I have some vanilla ice cream and you had better write it down". He said he could remember and didn't need to write it down.
She then said, "Some raspberries would be nice, and you had better write it down". Rob said he could remember and didn't need to write it down.
Rosemary then said, "Could I have some chocolate sauce on it please, and you better write it down". Rob was getting very frustrated and said, "I can remember it - vanilla ice cream with raspberries and chocolate sauce" and went into the kitchen.
He came back half an hour later with a slice of ham and two fried eggs. Rosemary said, "You silly b*gg*r, you forgot the toast!"

I have not felt like laughing much this last few weeks but when I read this you have done it you have made me laugh
Reminds me of a joke my Dad used to tell about the vicar who said to one of his aging parishioners: "Mr Smith, you're getting older, it's about time you thought about the here after.
"Oh, but vicar, I do that all the time. Every I go into the kitchen I think 'What am I here after'. Every time I go into the living room I think ' What am I here after' ".

Three kindly older ladies sitting on a park bench, 1st one says "isn't it windy", second one replies "no I think it's Thursday", to which the 3rd says, "so am I let's have a cup of tea" 😜
Nice one. One of the pluses of now living alone there is no one to notice me fading away. I went three times to the greenhouse yesterday, did small jobs and only then remembered I originally went to fetch a broom.🙀
don’t be hard on yourself, the garden has a habit of making us forget and just get lost in the happiness of pottering - well that’s my excuse. I forget what I was saying mid sentence sometimes. 🤪
