housemaids knee

Stupidly I’ve been overdoing it, kneeling tiling three bathrooms and fitting skirting’s in our new build house… I now have some very uncomfortable knee pain. I’ve not taken anything for it, and really need to try to reduce the pain and swelling. Is ibuprofen prohibited for us post HA folk. I’m 18 months out, off all meds except for the daily aspirin

Ask a pharmacist?

Or just paracetamol and ice packs? Don’t think you’ll have done long term damage. And you could get some knee pads next time you need to DIY on your knees.

Hello :-)

I know you are suffering but your new house sounds lovely :-)

I have been told and on the usual cocktail of meds we take that I could take ibuprofen but we are all different so phone the chemist and ask , if you use a chemist where you get your repeats from I always find they are the best they just get up all my meds and let me know

Hope when the house is finished you can sit and think well the pain was worth it look at how beautiful it is :-) x

I've been told that ibuprofen is not good for anyone. I feel for you with your sore knees. I haven't been able to kneel on mine for many years, yet an xray shows nothing- maybe osteoarthritis. They're not too bad when walking, though, Have a good rest - I think you've been doing far too much and deserve a medal. Take care.
