Update re my LBBB

Had my appointment with GP this morning and apparently I should not have been referred back to him. There was a mix up with my results and someone had put refer back to GP on them when it should have been refer back to Cardiologist. Anyway upshot of this is the GP could not interpret all the readings in detail but did say that according to my results summary I am not in heart failure (Yay) But I do have to discuss the results with Cardiologist as there are some readings that are slightly out of norm. So GP called hospital and they will send me an appointment. Great you say? The waiting time is 45 weeks yes 45. I am at 30 weeks because I have already waited 15 for the results due to them sitting in a black hole between the GP and the Cardio dept. However at least I can relax a bit as there doesn't appear to be anything that needs urgent attention at the moment.

Hi, I see you’ve had no replies, I couldn’t read and run. I am very cynical regarding NHS treatment. I’m only still here because I complained, kicked up a fuss, complained to PALS. Have you made a complaint to your cardiologists secretary, say you will take a cancellation. It’s not your fault a mistake was made, you should not have to suffer for it.I always say I was a nice person until I had to nurse my late husband for15 years, then I learnt to speak up and fight my corner.

Can you afford to see your cardiologist privately, usually under £200, this makes a difference, it shouldn’t do but it does.

Good luck😸

This is the NHS which we all adore, and, of course, the rest of the world envies. As VelvetSky says, pay for a private consultation if you can afford it, though you may have to grit your teeth when you do.

Private is always an option of course.

I read this with interest as I was in a similar position with LBBB diagnosis and a 45 week wait for referral. After 3 weeks I decided to go down the private route and am I glad I did. My health deteriorated and 14 July had a Heart Attack and am now told I have Heart Failure. If you can manage do jump the queue. At no time was I pressured and could revert to NHS at any time. Good luck.
