just want to thank you for all for your very helpful and informative comments.
I will be having my bypass Monday afternoon and feel a little less lonely knowing you guys have been through it too and shared your experiences with me.

I am glad your replies have helped you that is what the Community is for and always nice when someone gets something from it and helped them to feel a little better

Good morning. Good luck with your op on Monday. Had mine in December 2020 and doing very well T God. You will be in great hands and a speedy recovery to you.. Do your breathing exercises afterwards and bring a little cushion with you to protect your chest from seatbelt on returning home.
Are you sorted with some of the "extras" you may need either in hospital or when you get home. Some examples - loose fitting clothing, a V pillow or similar, maybe a cushion to go down your front while being chauffered around - I'm sure some of the others will come along with more ideas.
