Well that’s the 7th Angiogram complete

Well as promised here’s the update, just came up from the CAF lab an hour ago after procedure to see if needed another stent and ended up with another 3 😳, that totals 5 in my LAD in just over three years since my HA, hopefully will be a while now before in need anymore interventions.

Also hope I can do more biking and walking etc which I’ve struggled with 👍

Have to say fantastic care by NHS staff each time I’m here 🤗

Dear James4540

Good luck with the rest of your recovery, hurry up and get out of there and get home because as you know that is the best place to be.

Take care

Ooh I bet that was a sh ock, given the tablets you must be on to try to prevent blockages. Glad it's all done. Wishing you a good recovery now.

Yes just a bit and they’ve changed none of them afterwards either 🤷🏻‍♂️Only downside is I never got to talk to cardiologist or assistant after procedure either which I would have appreciated to answer a couple of questions but will obviously have to wait now until 6 month follow up appointment 👍

No I had no chance to speak to anyone either. When I asked through his secretary for some answers, he just said " I saw her before the procedure" and that was it- no follow up at all. It was GP or nothing. GP "translated" my discharge letter, GP explained what had been done, GP sorted out tablets, GP has had further checks done, an echo scan and a Holter monitor. From heart attack to second angiogram 3 months later I never got to speak to a cardiologist. ALl I Knew was one sentence from the lady who did my pre discharge echo who said" Oh that's good- minimal damage" and that was it. at least you get a check up.

Exactly the same here - no follow up other than 3 month after. Maybe because I've been In A&E consistently since the angio. Want to say too and I had an MI during stent apparently! Which I did not know until months after. 😱 The place just treat us like it's a meat factory sometimes, in and out for heart ops without real q+a after. Now he says I cannot do cardiac rehab either. And he said they will not do another angio for some unknown reason.

I agree, it felt like I'd just had a plumber fix my blocked pipes then left. I was refused rehab because I use a wheelchair but after what you had, especially the MI, you need and deserve an explanation. Either get on to his secretary and demand a meeting or get a second opinion.
