Does anyone else suffer from severe cramps when taking BUMEX for swelling feet and ankles! Have heart failure and CKF stage 3, taking Rampiril Apixaban Bisoprolol and Famitidine and PEPTAC forHiatus Hernia,I am nearly 85 years old!

Hi there. I’m afraid I can’t be much help. I also have Heart Failure, leaking Mitral Valve and Spinal Stenosis with stage 2 CKF. I also take Bisoprolol and Spironolactone amongst other medications- I also suffer with very bad leg cramping.Hope you can get some help as it’s very painful.

Thank you for replying ! I seem to be cramping all over, even trying to comb my hair my hand cramps! As you say, it really is so painful !

Sorry, I can't help as I do not take the other drugs. Have you read the leaflets that are in the medication boxes? They may answer your question.

Look very carefully at the side effects listed for any of the drugs you are prescribed and see if cramp is listed however small the frequency of reported occurrence. If cramp is mentioned then you may have the source of your problems and need to discuss that with your prescribing health professional to investigate any alternatives. I suffered from occasional leg cramps then discovered two of the meds might cause cramp and ended up reducing the dose of one which helped to reduce the problem significantly.
