Sorry another random question

Hi all. Sorry I keep asking random questions....has anyone ever experience a severe dry mouth when taking medications? My mums mouth only now again drys and shrivels up so much it’s quite strange to witness. She takes water and then it’s fine again. She’s sipping water all day long. I contacted her GP and he suggested she tries just taking 1 furosemide a day instead of 2 and to see if that helps. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

Yes, I get a dry mouth. I have water with me at all times, ever since I've taken tablets it's happened

It may be affected by other medication she is on. I had an electrolyte imbalance post surgery and gained 9kg of fluid? Initially I had additional medication to sort this alongside Furosemide and had a dry mouth. This went when they were stopped although I was on Furosemide for another month!

Does it go so dry that your mouth just feels like it’s going to shrivel up and all you sliva has gone? My mum is constantly sipping water but sometimes this happens with her mouth.
