Maybe a silly question

I'm still finding my way with what I can and cannot take with heart meds can you take cough lozenges for example Fisherman's friends and Jakemans as don't want to cause any problems with meds also taking Lemsip any help and advice very welcome.

I would definitely avoid lemsip I personally can't take them I literally just vomit it straight back up. Lozenges should be fine though jakemens are very good. Hope you feel better. ❤️

Both Fisherman's Friend and Jakeman's lozenges are 90%+ sugar. I wouldn't recommend that anybody consumes them.

I would always turn to Lemsip when I had a cold/flu, but have been informed that since I was diagnosed with Afb, they should not be used and that goes for cough mixture as well. Glycerine, lemon and honey is about the only safe thing to use + paracetamol. I liked some cough mixtures though.😡😡

Lemsip is a NoNo if you have high BP or a serious heart condition - it even says so in the information leaflet in the box.
