Well done to you. For the record cycling 100miles is something I would never do π 36 holes of golf in one day enough for me. Congratulations π and keep going
Hello
Thank you for sharing such a positive outcome with us it is such a great help for those that are on this journey to read
Well done x
Congratulations, that's a fantastic achievement!
I could not have done that when I was fit and well. Congratulations.
Great result, inspiration to everyone post cabg.
This is brilliant
Fabulous news, what an achievement!! Well done π
Bravo! I regularly did century rides before my heart issues, and I'm slowly working up to that again. Did 40 miles on Sunday with no issues except a sore butt...
I'm due a by pass this week, so it's very encouraging to hear this. I'll be happy just to dance around the kitchen again.
Congratulations!! I am looking at the same path but my bypass was the end of Jan 22. I jumped on my bike post the 12 weeks point as allowed.
Question for you. Did you have physical pains in the ribs and lower sternum for a while whilst the muscles got back to being used to support your weight on a bike? Doctor's sat it's normal but thought I would check!
Hi fellow cyclists..When I started cycling post surgery, there was discomfort in lower sternum and I have to say i still on occasion get a twinge..what i found more of a worry was the fear of falling off and doing damage to the chest...
For you it's early days, so take it easy and most of all enjoy..π
Big congrats mate 100 miles is very impressive after such a big operation and comforting for people to know, as an ex biker myself the most i ever covered was 65 miles when fit. Like you said never give up π.
Fantastic achievement
Wow π€© well done indeed! π keep it up
As a fellow cyclist, that is still a feat - well done you. And for a good cause too!!
It takes time, but you've shown heart issues aren't necessarily the end of an active life, although I think it does make us appreciate our wonderful bodies more!
