Hi I had an heart attack in June completely out if the blue had two stents fitted in same artery! My rehab has been excellent and I have done very well!! However over the last few weeks I have been feeling a bit fiat and a bit jittery!! I’m usually I very positive person!! Anyone else have these feelings after doing so well!! I’m maybe just feeling a bit sorry for myself!! I’m taking loads of tablets but coping with that! I tore my calf muscle 6 weeks ago thus has set me back heaps. Aldo I have just heard my orthopaedic consultant would like to do a a double knee replacement in January he is checking with cardiac to see if I could cope !! That’s all my means sorry !! Anyone else experiencing these things!!

Hi

I think most of us have been thier

Just when you feel you have things sorted and feel positive about things .Wham something comes along and knocks you back again .

I try to plan my days so I have things to do some days I can go out with no fears and then bang anxiety hits me again but I make myself do things and am glad I did after wards .

In your case I think the thought of a double knee replacement is enough to make you feel jittery.

it will pass and all will be fine

keep thinking positive and when things get to you ,try listening to a relaxation tape on you tube calms me down and makes me feel less tense .

Hi Rose thanks for your positive words! I will take on board what you say!! I think I was so pleased to survive and kept so positive through my rehab this feelings have hit me from what appears to be no where!! However hopefully onwards and upwards from here!!

Good luck

I am 5 months on and still have days when all I can think of is what my Heart is doing

If it beats louder than normal all rationality flies out the window .

Thank God those days are not to many

Hi Moags,

Welcome to the club! Most important thing to remember when the HA blues hit you is that you're still here. You're a fighter, and you WILL get back up again. Just remember to take it easy sometimes, too. Rest is also very important for your recovery, so take care of yourself (that includes the rest of your body, not just your heart).

Hi Moags, yep fully understand you're concerns. I had my 'out of the blue' heart attack 7 months ago. Prior to that I was healthy (or so I thought lol) and had a balanced diet. After the usual shock of having a stent I was very low for a while then gradually started being better. THEN....I had regular bouts of extreme fatigue which used to really get me down. They have gradually decreased in number but when they do happen I console myself with knowing that I will move on soon and heh, it's a darn sight better to be fatigued for a short while than what the alternative is. Stay positive, listen to your body (God I wish I had a pound for every time somebody said that me - but it's true) and you will get there, albeit with a few ups and downs.

Hi Allanrobson thanks for your response it’s good to know that what I’m experiencing does happen and will pass! I’m normally a positive person not too use to feeling a bit flat!! I think also we try to protect our family by telling them we are good!! so not to worry them. Am feeling a lot better having read the comments on this forum. Wishing you continued good health. Thanks
