George Washington's teeth are a thing of folklore. It is thought he never had wooden ones although as aged oak needs diamond tipped drills it sounds quite suitable. It is thought that some were made from ivory and some featured human teeth. Imagine the quivering servant when he said "Benson I need your upper left incisor. Stop quivering man - stiff upper lip and all that!" 😁

Years ago I read that someone famous had teeth made of hippopotamus ivory, I assumed George Washington. They must have filed them down a bit first!
