Travel Insurance with AF?

I have AF that is well controlled and I’m on a list for an Ablation. I’ve just booked a holiday does anyone know where I would get Travel Insurance at a reasonable price?

I think that you may have problems getting insurance as you are still in the middle of your procedures after your diagnosis.

You are waiting for ablation for your AF, personally I would wait till you have recovered from this { this procedure is not to be taken lightly as many on here will tell you }

Whatever you decide to do make sure that your insurance company knows everything { backed up by letters from your heart team that will word it properly for you}

I would think you will find it really difficult to get insurance while waiting on a heart related procedure. If you do it will be seriously expensive in my opinion. My advice would be to put any travel overseas on hold until after ablation Good luck

It’s worth checking with BHF as I seem to remember that they used to have a list of insurers , but I haven’t looked for a while. We used Staysure last year, The most important thing is you need to be very careful to answer all the screening questions , like has your Cardiology Team or GP given you OK for travel etc etc
