Last Monday I was due to have the final session to remove harden ear wax but the audiologist tested positive for that we must not utter. I was seeing family on Easter Monday but they came up positive this morning! ☹️
Oh dear. Try a few drops of olive oil in your ear each day. The GP told my husband that it’s the best way to remove ear wax.
Dear MichaelJH
I don't know about you but this time around I seem to know more folks that have have gone down with it than ever before. I am hiding away cause I’m on the list for a pacemaker and I really don't want another delay if possible.
Last visit to the hospital and one of the nurses told me about the problems they had on the wards, even though no visitors are allowed on the wards the front of the hospital is now open so relatives and friends are going to the well known coffee shop and patients are going down from the ward to meet them ! You couldn’t write it if you tried.
The cardiology ward had five positive patients on it that had proved negative before their op, and they admitted that they had met up with people during their recovery………crazy world.
Sorry to hear of your family and i hope that its just as mild as can be, does that mean more eggs for you?
Take care { and no more bloody squares !!!!! Lol }
I suspect that many have kept isolated and are now coming out from the shadows and getting infected. Certainly is the case in my village. Luckily all patients here have recovered quite well.
Many thanks for your jokes and puzzles. I do enjoy them
I'm on olive oil prep for a week - I'm getting mine vacuumed this time instead of syringed. Its supposed to be safer for your ear drums. That visitor you mentioned in another post has been fiddling with the volume on the TV again!
Optex is very good at loosening wax, will take a few applications but then it's likely to come out easily. If it doesn't then you can buy ear wax removal pump things from the chemist, once the wax is loose that forces it out, a bit like you when you used to have it done at the surgery.
Re the unmentionable word!! I think it's inevitable that pretty much everyone will get it at some point or another, very little mask wearing or distancing going on and a number of shops have removed the sanitisers. What really gets me cross is the people who think it's acceptable to lean across me to get something off a shelve, incredibly rude even without the issue of C!!
I was in a well known department store this week and was just going through the payment stage when a woman (no mask!) came right up to us to complain to the man taking our money about why she isn't able to phone the store, and she didn't stop ranting for about 10 mins!! We were also in a well known DIY store sitting with a member of staff while he was doing stuff for us on his computer. A man (unmasked) came along stuck something under the nose of the staff member who was with us and asked him to scan this item because he couldn't see a price on it!
Is it just me but 1) if I'm wearing a mask I would appreciate people acknowledging the fact I'm concerned about the potential risk and therefore keep their distance and 2) if a member of staff is already dealing with a customer how incredibly rude to think it's acceptable to butt in in such a way!!
Rant over, sorry your weekend plans have gone awry and I hope your family are not too poorly.
