The most favourable day seems Saturday so I will start proceedings at 2:00pm. See you there subject to recent Internet issues. In addition to sandwiches there will also be smoked salmon canapés.

I'm having our first BBQ of the year on sat so will have to spread myself around & make sure I don't eat or drink too much at either event!🐖🍷🍾

How are you today, I've just seen your previous message!! I'm having all sorts of site and phone problems, cant alway get on the site and my phone has been taken over by an alien 👽 lifeform!! It's doing the strangest of things and often won't even let type at times!

Thank you for asking. Feel a bit shaky, but glad to be home after witnessing some sad sights while in the 5 days. I now have to be so careful,, keep to the rules, no bending etc. As it’s the 3rd time the hip has come out, it can get easier to happen again. Revision of the prosthetic doesn’t make any difference! Have exercises to do, as usual start off with good intentions, then ! But I’m the only one who can help me, so just got to get on with it, I say to myself.

My daughter is annoyed, worried really, as I turned down going to Crawley or Horsham hospital for rehab. Crawley, on a geriatric ward, I used to visit an elderly lady there, no not for me. Went to Horsham for rehab following back surgery, and they got an awful sickness and diarrhoea bug, and it went through everyone, and ward was closed to visitors etc! So no thank you.

I ve just got to be really careful. At least my mended heart seems to be coping with these events! This time they have said it takes three months for the muscles to strengthen up.

Enjoy your bbq, how many are you expecting? Don’t forget we’re clinking glasses with my Prosecco later! x

Glad to hear you're home, not surprised by the shakiness hopefully that'll settle quickly, we always heal better in our own homes. Totally get not wanting to go to rehab etc we all need to do what's best for ourselves, and yes we have our good intentions we just need to find the motivation for it!!It's an impromptu BBQ as it's reliant on the weather so haven't issued any invites. Plus it's our first BBQ in our new place, the neighbours are all lovely but definitely not BBQ people! We want to see if anyone has a say about smell/smoke before we start partying!! I had a massive garden where I lived before so we didn't affect people but we now have a postage stamp size garden so the smoke/smell/noise could potentially be quite intrusive, we don't want to offend anyone we've not lived here for long!!

Will definitely keep room for our glass clinking prosecco, I'm trying to decide whether to bring my rhubarb & ginger gin, but not sure how I'll feel about sharing it 🤔🤔

Hi Michael, looking forward to the tea on Saturday. Going to a tea and hot cross buns party this afternoon, asked what to take and told nothing but if I have an elephant I can bring him for the spare buns. Now where can I find an elephant?What can I bring to your tea?

It’s a yes please from me especially to the smoked salmon canapés 👍🏼😋🙌🏻

Dear MichaelJH

I answer so many of your posts that I feel that I am either a stalker or a fan !{ thin line}

Now this High Tea thing does it involve visuals on the old laptop? Like face timing or video dating?

Because if it does then I really need a make over first, for if I was to appear at your High Tea Sorree in full visual then the cream for the scones will surly turn sour.

Awaiting full instructions {simple as possible please as Nanny is not very tech savvy}

Thanks, Michael. Smoked salmon canapes sound far too healthy, so I've got one of those M&S biscuity chocolate "eggs" to share... if I haven't virtually scoffed the lot by tomorrow :)

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toAlison_L

Don't you dare eat them all yourself!!! I'll share by8 rhubarb & ginger gin if you share your biscuity egg??😋😋😋

Thank you for organizing a tea for us. I am Canadian but my dear father was British. He loved raspberry trifle so that is what I will bring to the tea tomorrow. Take care
