I suppose it all depends on what you were doing while the BP was so high? Athletes can operate at higher levels but have lower resting rates. Without more information about you it’s hard to make any other comment.
I’m on ramipril for a bicuspid aortic heart valve as mine sticks & my heart is expanding, have you had it explained to you what your drugs are doing within your body?
When do you take your beta blockers? All at once or split morning & night?
Stay cool.
Worth getting checked over. I repeatedly raised this with my GP for over a year and eventually went private as was getting nowhere. Recently diagnosed with aortic regurgitation and waiting on an op.
Not saying same will happen to you but please get checked and don’t let them fob you off like they did to me over 20 times.
Last night I had been bending downfor a while before this when I stood up I felt strange and had anxiety when I came and sat down for a while and the feeling started of a panic attack and I took my BP and found it high systolic about 180/60 and over the course of an hour it went up to the 190s systolic after a couple of hours it went down to 167/62 and I felt OK.I have symptoms of a UTI and spoke to a GP this morning on the phone. It was in the 150s. She told me to rest and I have taken a urine sample in as requested.
Do please try eliminating all caffeine from your diet for at least 2 weeks, you may be astounded at the results, I suffer from extreme caffeine intolerance and can't be the only one.
Thank you. I only drink coffee in the morning and water most of the day, so it should't be too hard for me!
