Blurred Vision -meds?

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well. Please would you mind letting me know if anyone has experienced blurred vision from Clopidogrel or Nebivolol? I have had my eyes checked which are okay, and although I have been on these meds for a while, I sometimes experience blurred vision. My blood pressure is also on the low side, so it may be that. Thanks as always for reading this and your time. I hope the spring sunshine is bringing you a little happiness? 🤗🤗

Yep blurred vision as well they have done all sorts of test. It only happened twice and coincided with migraine... other time was just coming out of hospital after doing tests ... it lasts only 20 min... once migraine gone

Hi Heyjude! I thought it was just me!! Had every conceivable eye test and all fine. My blurry vision started some weeks after starting on Clopidogrel and I have it most days. It's almost as though I'm looking through a net curtain and outlines are blurry too which, in turn, makes me a little light-headed and unsteady. Like you, my BP is around 100/65 so I'm pretty sure that that's contributory. Hope this helps a little.

Hiya, that’s exactly how it is for me. Sometimes it is exactly like a net curtain. Thanks so much for replying, some mornings are worse than others. I am pretty sure it is the Clopidogrel. Take care, Judi

Hi HeyjudeI get blurred vision in the mornings most days, I don’t know why it doesn’t happen every day.

Mine seems to be caused by flecainade, dr changed it to propafenone but that was worse so I asked to be changed back.

Some brands of flecainade are worse than others so I put notes on when requesting Persciptions not to be given them and check before I leave the pharmacy.

It’s strange what causes it, shortly after going on flecainade I came off isosobide dinitrate and the blurring vanished 😄

Then after a fortnight it came back ☹️

This seems to happen now when changing drugs for any reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

I asked the optician a year ago at my annual test about it and he said so long as it’s only a couple of hours it’s ok. Just one of those things you get with drugs.

I don’t drive and would not like to when the blurring is at its worst.

I actually had my eye test yesterday with a different optician, mentioned it again and he was really unconcerned.

I always pay for the extra eye scan test and he says my eyes are really healthy. I have cataracts forming but nowhere near being bad enough to treat.

I’m really interested in you saying your blood pressure is low.

It’s never occurred to me to check my blood pressure when my eyes are bad,

I’m on two blood pressure meds plus 5mg of bisoprolol.

I’m defo going to check it now when it’s bad and when it’s normal to see if there is any difference.

Bet wishes

VC

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Really appreciate it. My low blood pressure can impact on my vision sometimes so it may be worth checking out. Take care and thanks again, Judi

One of my tablets after HA gave me hallucinations but I can't remember now which it was. I do know it wasn't clopidogrel or isosorbide or statin. It was one that had to do with BP. When I woke up the ceiling and walls would be covered in gigantic black worms .

That sounds horrendous! I would have been so scared! I would probably have had nightmares after that for ages! Hope you never have to experience anything like that ever again! Take good care and thank you for replying, Judi

Hello Connect7, that’s helpful. I thought it was Clopidogrel that caused my blurred vision but I changed from Nebivolol at the same time so that makes sense now. Thank you again, take care, Judi
