I had a CT Cardiac Angiogram and calcium Scoring today. All went well and apart from the odd hot feeling when the die was injected there were no effects. That is until about 1 hour later I ached in every joint arms, legs and shoulders. I contacted the hospital and was referred to my GP and am now waiting a call back from the GP. The hospital said they had not heard of that side effect but it seems odd it was after my CT scan. Has anyone else had this side effect?

Hi Geoff51, I had a CT Cardiac Angiogram and calcium Scoring on Saturday and had no problem at all apart from the fact they struggled to find a vein but that is normal for me. Hopefully, someone will be able to put your mind at ease with this.
Hello
I am usually the odd one that something will happen that I get told they have never heard of it before to which I reply well you have now
It could have been a delayed reaction but I hope by now it has gone and you have spoken with your Doctor and wll is good x
It seems to have improved now, GP was not too worried and just said to take Paracetamol and if it was worse overnight to phone 111. I think it must have been a reaction to the contrast dye.
I am pleased it has improved and your Doctor got back to you x
