Tiny scribbles on ecg

Can somebody tell me what these tiny little scribbles mean on my Apple Watch ecg? It’s showing sinus rhythm but I’m wondering what these little scribbles mean between beats? They are very small and don’t happen all the time!

Personally I have no idea but am sure am Apple watch can't replace the 12 lead ECG used by your GP or consultant. I think the Holter a mate had had 4 leads. I imagine it could be as minor as a contact issue. If you are worried why not email the image to your GP as I doubt it would get you past security (the guard dogs on reception :)).

We on this forum are not qualified to diagnose conditions. It might just be a contact issue - my cheaper watch throws up some oddities - but you need a proper investigation to be sure. Contact your GP, or have a chat with the BHF nurses. I assume you have some underlying heart issue.

Interference either from poor contact or movement.

Please also remember that the watch ONLY looks for AF - nothing more

Yes I understand that. Just wondered what the little scribbles mean. Done another ecg this morning and it was totally fine.

The ECG is as accurate as any single lead ECG can be, my GP & cardiologist have asked me to send PDF copies on a few occasions, which has helped them to determine if a full ECG was necessary.

It is probably ’noise’ due to movement or poor contact.

Yes, you are right SheldonC. It's just "noise" called artifact. As an RN, I saw this many times. It would set the alarms off. But to be on the safe side, contact your doctor Fondant for anything unusual.
