Left bundle branch block
Hello Susie, I take half a 2.5mg bisoprolol tablet every morning. I was given this to reduce my heart rate. It also reduces my blood pressure. I take an enteric coated aspirin every night, and should my blood pressure shown an increase of over 140/80, I take a 500mcg cilazpril tablet.
Just on 3 years ago I was sent to hospital suffering from a COPD exacerbation. My doctor also expected me to have a stent implanted. During the night I had a NSTEMI heart attack. The cardiologist wouldn't insert a stent, since I was short of breath, and he couldn't distinguish if that was caused by heart failure or COPD.
I also take 4x 600mg potassium tablets each day. I don't know what LBBB is
Hi I have just been diagnosed with LBBB, irregular heart beat and feeling tired more.
Bisoprolol in low dose can be taken even in the presence of LBBB under medical supervision. However it can cause Complete Heart Block which is recognised by a Heart rate of 40 per minute associated with faintness. Stop Bisoprolol in such situations & seek immediate medical advice.
