Had my pacemaker repositioning procedure Wednesday . I took my dressing off last night , 48 hours after my procedure as instructed , I have steri strips over the wound and it’s stinging like crazy , if I move it’s so much worse and I get a sudden sharp pain that lasts a few seconds but takes my breath away . I can’t remember how my incision felt first time round as it’s been about 14 months between procedures . Is the stinging and pain normal , I’m sure it is how it should be but just need a bit of reassurance , I’m almost expecting something to go wrong again after having complications first time round .

I had to take paracetamol for 3 or 4 nights after the op, but I don't remember a stinging sensation. Can you contact the department that did the op?
Hi Westie, any inflammation? The steristrips might be a little tight, pulling skin and the one that catches your breath might be nerve. Whatever it is hopefully you have a contact number and perhaps it has settled. Best Wishes
